Labor Day Weekend Is Almost Here — And Las Vegas Dog Boarding Books Out First
Labor Day weekend 2026 runs Saturday, September 5 through Monday, September 7, and if you have travel plans, here is the thing nobody tells you until it is too late: luxury dog boarding in Las Vegas sells out before the flights do.
Every year it happens the same way. Families lock in the Airbnb in San Diego, the cabin in Utah, the flight to see grandma — and then, four days before they leave, they start calling around for a boarding suite. By then the good rooms are gone. The suites with the private patios are gone. The Penthouse is long gone.
Book early for Labor Day. That is the whole secret. If you are reading this and your dates are September 4–8, pick up the phone today.
At LV Dog Hotel, we have been doing this since 2009 — 17+ years as Las Vegas’s original luxury pet boarding facility. Hundreds of thousands of dogs have walked through our doors. We know exactly how Labor Day weekend goes, and we know it goes fast.
Let the Dogs Go on Vacation Too
Here is how we think about it, and it is why our clients come back holiday after holiday:
You are going on vacation. Your dog should get one too.
Not a kennel. Not a concrete run with a chain-link gate and a guy who walks by twice a day. Not a stranger’s house from an app. A genuine, staffed, air-conditioned, marble- floored dog hotel where your dog gets unlimited playtime, real meals, snacks, a bath before you pick them up, and a suite with their name on it.
When you come home from Labor Day weekend, you should be picking up a tired, clean, happy dog who had the best three days of their summer too.
That is the entire idea.
Two Las Vegas Locations — Choose the One Closest to You
We have two locations, and they are genuinely different from each other. Here is the honest breakdown so you can pick the right one for your dog.
LV Dog Hotel — West Las Vegas (Sahara)
6810 W. Sahara Ave., Las Vegas, NV 89146
(702) 560-7387
This is the original. The one that started it all in 2009 and made “luxury pet boarding” a real category in this city instead of a marketing phrase.
Best for: Summerlin, Spring Valley, The Lakes, Peccole Ranch, Queensridge, Rhodes Ranch, Downtown, and anyone flying out of Harry Reid who wants a straight shot down Sahara.
What makes it special:
- The most experienced boarding staff in Las Vegas — the crew here has seen every breed, every temperament, every anxious first-timer
- Suites in every size, from cozy Mini Suites to full luxury accommodations
- Unlimited playtime, indoors and out, all climate-controlled
- Seventeen years of repeat clients whose dogs pull them toward the front door
- Easy in-and-out on West Sahara — no fighting the resort corridor on a holiday weekend
If your dog is nervous, older, needs medication, or just needs the steadiest hands in town, this is the location.
LV Dog Hotel Two — Southeast Las Vegas (Sandhill)
6188 S. Sandhill Road, Las Vegas, NV 89120 (702) 903-7387
This is the new one. And it is, without exaggeration, the nicest pet boarding facility in Las Vegas.
We built LV Dog Hotel Two the way you build a resort, not the way you build a kennel. Brand new marble throughout. New everything. It is bright, it is immaculate, it smells like a hotel lobby and not like a boarding facility, and the first time clients walk in, they say some version of the same sentence: “This is nicer than where I’m staying.”
Best for: Green Valley, Henderson, Anthem, Silverado Ranch, Paradise, Whitney Ranch, McCarran-adjacent neighborhoods, and anyone on the southeast side of the valley.
What makes it special:
- The newest facility in the city — new construction, new marble, new suites, new play areas
- Polished marble floors throughout: gorgeous, cool underfoot in the Las Vegas heat, and sanitary in a way that older facilities simply cannot match
- Resort-grade finishes from the lobby to the suites
- Unlimited playtime with dedicated indoor and outdoor play spaces
- The Cat Hotel — six private cat condos, available at this location only. If you have a cat and a dog, Sandhill is your one-stop drop-off. This is the only LV Dog Hotel location with cat accommodations.
If you want the wow factor — if you want to hand your dog off in a place that looks like a five-star hotel because it is one — book LV Dog Hotel Two.
What’s Included in Every Stay (Both Locations)
No à la carte nickel-and-diming. Every single boarding stay at both LV Dog Hotel locations includes:
- Unlimited playtime — not “two 15-minute sessions,” unlimited
- Breakfast and dinner
- Snacks
- Medication administration — at no extra charge, which is rare in this city
- Bedding
- A bath before pickup — your dog comes home clean
That last one matters more than people expect. You get back from Labor Day weekend exhausted, and instead of a dusty dog and a bathtub full of work, you get a fresh, fluffy, fast-asleep dog.
Labor Day Boarding Rates
We publish our pricing. Most Las Vegas boarding facilities will not — you have to call, get quoted, and wonder. We think that is a bad way to treat people planning a trip.
- Mini Suite: from $42/night
- Mid-range suites: varies by size
- Penthouse Suite: up to $169/night
- Each additional dog: $39/night
Suites range from $42/night (Mini Suite) to $169/night (Penthouse Suite), with $39 for each additional dog. Unlimited playtime, breakfast and dinner, snacks, medication administration, bedding, and a pre-pickup bath are included. Rates are subject to change — please call (702) 560-7387 for current pricing and Labor Day availability.
Multi-dog families: at $39 for the second dog, boarding two dogs together in one suite is one of the best values in Las Vegas — and littermates and bonded pairs are much happier sharing a room over a holiday weekend anyway.
Book Your Labor Day Suite Now
Labor Day 2026 is Monday, September 7. Most stays run September 4–8.

When should I book dog boarding for Labor Day weekend in Las Vegas?
As early as possible — ideally three to four weeks out. Labor Day is one of the three busiest boarding weekends of the year in Las Vegas, alongside Thanksgiving and Christmas. Suites at both LV Dog Hotel locations fill before the holiday weekend arrives. If your dates are September 4–8, call today at (702) 560-7387 (Sahara) or (702) 903-7387 (Sandhill).
How much does Labor Day dog boarding cost in Las Vegas?
At LV Dog Hotel, suites range from $42/night for a Mini Suite to $169/night for the Penthouse Suite, with $39/night for each additional dog. Unlimited playtime, breakfast, dinner, snacks, medication administration, bedding, and a pre-pickup bath are all included. Rates are subject to change; call (702) 560-7387 for current pricing.
Which LV Dog Hotel location should I choose?
Choose the Sahara location (6810 W. Sahara Ave.) if you are on the west side — Summerlin, Spring Valley, The Lakes, Downtown — or heading to the airport. Choose LV Dog Hotel Two on Sandhill (6188 S. Sandhill Road) if you are in Henderson, Green Valley, Anthem, or southeast Las Vegas, or if you also need cat boarding. Sandhill is our newest facility, with brand-new marble throughout.
Do you board cats over Labor Day weekend?
Yes — at LV Dog Hotel Two only. The Cat Hotel at our Sandhill location offers six private cat condos. Because there are only six, they book even faster than the dog suites over a holiday weekend. Call (702) 903-7387.
Can you give my dog medication while boarding?
Yes, at both locations, and at no additional charge. Medication administration is included in every stay.
Is there an extra charge for playtime?
No. Unlimited playtime is included in every boarding stay at both locations. It is not a package or an upsell.
How long has LV Dog Hotel been in business?
Since 2009 — 17+ years as Las Vegas’s original luxury pet boarding facility. Hundreds of thousands of pets have stayed with us.
Do you offer boarding for multiple dogs from the same family?
Yes. Each additional dog is $39/night, and dogs from the same household can share a suite, which most bonded pairs strongly prefer over a holiday weekend.
Will my dog get a bath before I pick them up?
Yes — a pre-pickup bath is included in every stay at both locations, so your dog comes home clean.
What is included in a boarding stay?
Unlimited playtime, breakfast and dinner, snacks, medication administration, bedding, and a bath before pickup — all included at both LV Dog Hotel locations.
