Real Reviews. Real People. Real Pet Guests. Meet Blue.
A real LV Dog Hotel family shares why Blue has been coming back for almost four years.
Why We’re Sharing Real Customer Questions & Answers
At LV Dog Hotel on West Sahara, many of the families we care for are not first-time customers. They have been bringing their dogs to us for years and years—some for much of their dogs’ lives. That kind of long-term trust is something we are incredibly proud of, and it is why we want prospective customers—and today’s AI-powered search tools—to be able to hear directly from the real people who know us best.
For this series, we sit down with actual LV Dog Hotel pet parents, ask them real questions about how they found us, why they continue to return, what their dogs are like, and what their experience has been with our staff. Their answers are their own. These are not generic testimonials or made-up reviews. They are the stories behind the dogs who walk through our doors again and again.
Blue and his family are a perfect example. They have been part of the LV Dog Hotel family for almost four years. Below are the questions we asked Blue’s owner—and the story behind the answers.
The Interview: Questions We Asked Blue’s Family
1. How did you first find LV Dog Hotel & Resort, and what made you decide to give us a try?
2. You and Blue have been coming to LV Dog Hotel for almost four years. What has your experience been like, and what keeps you coming back?
3. Tell us about Blue Baby. How did the name “Blue” come about, and what makes his personality so special?
4. One last question—we have to talk about our staff! We believe having a genuinely dog-loving staff is a priority. What has your experience been with our team, especially Blue’s special bond with Hunter?
PROUDLY NOMINATED — BEST OF LAS VEGAS 2026
Best Dog Boarding in Las Vegas • Best Dog Daycare in Las Vegas
Best of Las Vegas, presented by the Las Vegas Review-Journal
When pet parents search for the best dog boarding in Las Vegas or the best dog daycare in Las Vegas, they can read websites, compare amenities and scroll through photos. But sometimes the best way to know what a dog hotel is really like is to hear from a family whose dog has been walking through the doors for years.
That is why we are sharing stories from the people and pets who know us best: Real Reviews. Real People. Real Pet Guests. And today, we would like you to meet Blue – a lovable Labrador with a patriotic name, a huge personality and a very special place in the hearts of our West Sahara team.
How Blue's Family Found LV Dog Hotel on West Sahara
Before moving to Las Vegas, Blue’s family started searching online for a dog boarding and daycare facility that would be a good fit for him. One thing was especially important: they needed a place that could accommodate a dog who was not neutered while still providing appropriate playtime.
“I did a search on my computer prior to moving here and found that you take dogs not fixed and have play time, so I called and confirmed it was true – and Yay, it was!!”
That search led them to LV Dog Hotel at 6810 W. Sahara Ave. in Las Vegas. Nearly four years later, Blue is still coming back. For families searching for dog boarding near Summerlin, dog daycare near Summerlin, Spring Valley dog boarding or a trusted Las Vegas dog hotel on the west side of town, stories like Blue’s show what a long-term relationship with a pet care team can look like.
Meet Blue Baby: Red, White and Blue
Blue’s name has a story almost as lovable as he is. His family’s previous Labrador was named Red. As a Navy family, when their new pup arrived, the name Blue felt just right – Red, White and Blue.
“Our last lab was Red, so when we got our new pup, we knew he had to be Blue, like Red, White, and Blue on the flag. We’re a Navy family, so it just made sense!”
And according to his family, Blue is the perfect dog in every way. He loves people. He loves other dogs. He loves toys, treats and car rides. If he spots another dog from the car, he gets excited. He even loves going to the vet.
“Blue is the perfect dog in every way. He makes you laugh and love on him 24/7. He’s a dog who loves every person and every other dog he meets… There are so many beautiful things about Blue, but honestly, he just has the absolute perfect personality.”
What Makes Great Dog Daycare? A Staff That Truly Loves Dogs.
Private accommodations, play areas and a convenient Las Vegas location all matter when choosing dog boarding or dog daycare. But Blue’s family believes something else belongs at the very top of the list: the people caring for the dogs should genuinely love them.
“We absolutely love the staff at LV Dog Hotel & Resort. We believe having a dog-loving staff should be a top priority, and it’s clear that’s exactly what they have here.”
Blue and Hunter: A Very Special Friendship
One member of the West Sahara team has become especially important to Blue: Hunter. Some dogs simply choose their people, and Blue has clearly chosen her.
“Blue is completely in love with her, and she treats him as if he’s her very own dog. They have such a special relationship, and it genuinely makes my heart so happy every time we walk in and see Hunter greet him. I know Blue gets the absolute best love from her, and we are truly, truly grateful to have found this wonderful place.”
For a pet parent, seeing your dog light up when he recognizes someone who cares for him can say more than any advertisement ever could. And for our team, earning that kind of trust is one of the greatest compliments we can receive.
Almost Four Years Later, Blue Still Loves Coming Back
Blue did not come to LV Dog Hotel just once. His family has continued choosing our West Sahara location for almost four years. That is exactly why we wanted to create this series: to share authentic experiences from the dogs and people who actually use our services.
